In November, 2019, Mwamba traveled to Geneva for the Third Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, Minamata COP3.
We participated in the formal plenary proceedings, shared our experience in breakout sessions and met with the planetGOLD program administration. Our goal was to leave Minamata with a government party interested in exploring a pilot program with Mwamba and utilizing the WAZI technology suite. We ended up leaving with three, receiving invitations to present our model and propose a pilot to the governments of Indonesia and Uganda in February and Guyana in March.
